In this renovation and expansion, the old florist shop was completely redesigned and enlarged to maximize merchandising opportunities and enhance traffic flow. A new outdoor sales area was added and two deteriorating greenhouses were replaced with a new air-conditioned glass conservatory.

Role of Becker + Becker

In addition to preparing all design and construction documents, Becker + Becker provided merchandising analysis, fixture plans and fixture designs. The firm also assisted the owner in securing all zoning and building department approvals, including several variances.

Unique Aspects of the Project

The design transformed an aging, inefficient retail operation into an attractive, state of the art facility that provided the client with a unique identity and renewed street presence in the town.
