Renovation and addition to an aging modern house 0n four acres. All exterior windows were replaced, new trim was added and new stucco cladding was introduced. The central courtyard was redesigned with custom decorative metal fencing and a new pergola was added. All the interior finishes and hardware were replaced. Additions include a new entry foyer, vaulted library and recreation room.

Unique Aspects of the Project

This home was considered a "tear-down" by other prospective buyers due to the deteriorating quality of finishes and modest size, despite a number of wonderful features, including an attractive floor plan, central courtyard, and excellent site orientation. By making two small but distinctive additions at the prominent corners of the house and upgrading all windows and details, the house was transformed into a unique luxury home that successfully features the owner's extensive art collection.
